Lettin the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin it back in.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain't gonna happen anyway.

Vista and photoshop 7

Hi there,

Yes you are going to run into problems with the two, Vista is going to have compatibility issues for a while still but it will get better. There is an update I would suggest getting right away that should help some though, check out this link to explain more.

When you get to the point that you want to throw your new laptop out a window because of Vista, give Mac a look (many of the OSX features will look the same as MS ripped off most of the features from OSX).

There is compatability issues with Vista right now with a lot of other devices, that link should help - when I get back from picking up my kids I will look into it more for you.

I would not get any system with Vista yet. There are too many legal issues.

Did you know that if it finds anything that is not vista certified or illegal (i.e. downloaded songs, movies, tv shows, or even some programs like Itunes) it will delete the items without telling you. It's in the license agreement - check it out. One of my co-workers printed it and highlighted the sections.

right now, most software is not "vista certified" including ITunes and it will delete your music and other stuff, including the program, without telling you.

Everyone I know is moving to a MAC now that vista came out.

So I got a new laptop for Christmas and apparently I get Windows Vista upgrade free but haven't done this yet (I am sort of a computer dummy). Should I wait and do it later after bugs have been worked out? Or maybe it is better to do it now while I'm still learning and don't have much on my computer to lose.

If you have windows XP on your computer, I wouldn't do it at all.

Win XP will be good for another 5 years or so, and by then, you will need a new computer and Vista will be ok by then.
