by-laws

I know each city has different by-laws, but as a rule, there is a dog barking one right??

This damn yappy mutt across the street is continually waking me up at wee hours of the morning and its making me nuts!!! I'm going to take Brick for a walk to see which house it is for sure and then call the city by-laws office, cuz this is ridiculous. Its CONSTANT and very "yippy", obviously a small dog who isn't happy about being outside. I'm also going to check to make sure its cared for, with shade and food and water, cuz its outside ALL the time!! How sad!! I'll keep ya all posted on what I find out!!!

If you find the house, tell them what their dog is doing. If they refuse to listen, call the bylaw officer. This kind of stuff shouldn't be tolerated.

*breaths a HUGE sigh of relief*

thank God for the 15 min.... the HO's max is at about 20 seconds tops now... a break, and then some more. total barking time is approx. 2-5 min.

(when she hears neighbours or when Choco smells a dog walking on the our sidewalk )

That bylaw is in Ottawa not Toronto Aggie, if you're interested you should contact the bylaw dept and find out what T.O.'s is.

Dang it.....can't find the house...but I will keep trying!!! Every time I go outside, the dog stops barking. I even walked Brick back and forth and NOT a peep!! GRRRRRRR!!!!! I will talk to them first of course, then call the bylaw dudes if nothing is done. I looked at our Animal control bylaws and it didn't state how long the barking goes on to be considered a nuisance, it just said that it is against a bylaw, and its $100 fine! There was a WHOLE section on "Vicious dogs", which I found interesting, but never did it give a real definition of a vicious dog, or what they considered to be vicious... interesting!
