Did you ever notice things about doggies (and kitties)?

I was thinking about the many many weird things I have noticed about doggies in my lifetime.

Like their heartbeat?
Thump...........thump.............thumpthumpthump. .thump.................thump...............thump.. .....

Or how they usually don't even flinch when they have a huge hair in their eye? But they notice right away when their ears are flipped inside out?

Or how when they're puppies they can run on wood floors without making a sound but as they get older it seems the nails get longer and longer and louder and louder?

I noticed on Jemma and Boo (they're both black) that the white fur between their foot pads is more ticklish than the black fur between their pads...

Anybody notice other doggy (or kitty) quirks like that?
