Fergus -- the boxer

Some of you may remeber little Fergus (http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=26431), I know alot of people on pets.ca donated to his recovery. It was greatly appreciated and Fergus recovered from his injuries like a Champ!!

We have some sad news. Fergus is unfortunetly back up for adoption.
What we thought was Fergus' forever home is not. Sadly they are no longer able to care for him.

He is one and a half years old, fawn, neutered, healthy and up to date on vaccines. Since Fergus has been adopted, he has developed some separation anxiety and needs to be crated when left alone.
He is the kind of dog who needs a lot of exercise and attention. He has had a lot of obedience training and has a good foundation of basic manners. He is well socialized with people and children.

He is a kind soul who has been through alot in his short life. He needs a break, he needs a FOREVER family. Are you the one to give this handsome boy the home he deserves? Please apply here : http://www.boxerrescuequebec.com/fergus.cfm

Oh Fergus, you will always be in my heart. I wish I could take you home
Boy MEB does he ever look good now, eh? What a difference. There is a little girl at brq right now who I wish wish wish I could have (Bindi). I need to move to a bigger house with a lot of land so I could fill my house with boxers.
Good luck Fergus, I hope you find your forever home soon!

Oh man, I want him! He's gorgeous. If only I could convince my man to get a dog while we're still in this apartment.

I just read Fergus's story from the beginning now. What a sad, sad story. It's a shame he only got a new family for six months. He is such a handsome boy and I hope his next family will be the forever home he truly deserves.

I know...he's such a sweet guy...that's why I want to spread the word about him

I believe he's being given up because of the seperation anxiety, although it's nothing a little crate-training won't cure. BRQ had alot of great applicants for him...sometimes things just don't work out...but this guy really deserves a great home.

Poor guy. It seems like so many forever homes give up their doggies these days. I guess everybody is a little burnt out. There are just so many.

Good luck to Fergus! I hope he gets his forever home soon.

I have to find a dog for a family, friends of my boss. It's a couple with 4 kids,12 to 18 years old. So Fergus needs someone at home all day ? I still don't know what kind of breed they are looking for but I will certainly talk about Fergus. I'm waiting for an e-mail answer from the lady

All I know is that they owned some kind of terrier for 16 years. They go to their cottage every week end. Perfect family for a rescue dog.

I've been pestering hubby all evening to take a weekend trip to Quebec, he's having none of it. I can get him to admit that Fergus looks like a great dog, but I can't get him to go that extra inch and say "Let's go to Quebec".
I never really considered a boxer, but after seeing many pics of Buster and hearing boxer stories, I would totally love to have one! They seem like wonderful dogs.

Hi guys! Fergus would actually need someone who is home during the day if possible. He needs that extra stimulation and attention. He can be destructive when left alone/unsupervised so he needs a family with patience too He is great with kids, but can get excited around young ones of course - the wiggle bum gets very wiggly! He is currently located in Ontario and he'll be coming back to Quebec in a couple of weeks.

awwww, Fergus! My hubby won't budge! He wants to wait until we have a house. Stupid apartment living.
I truly hope that Fergus finds the loving home he deserves, I wish it was my home but I'll have to be patient I guess. Hopefully when the time comes I'll find a special dog that needs a forever home and all the love he can handle.

I would love to take Fergus. I don't know how he'd fare in a condo though. I'll talk to hubby when he gets home from his Super Bowl thing... But I don't know........I'm from Alberta. They'll probably find someone closer, which is cool with me.

What a beautiful dog. People are disgusting. For real

I keep bringing Fergus up in conversation with my husband, how he'd fit in perfectly with our Angus and Finn, a trio of Irish kids. He makes me so frustrated. I think I'm just annoying him now, so that won't get me anywhere.

OH i wish he was closer to me. I have a huge backyard along with a fenced in dog play pen. I am home all day ( hubby does all the work ) no small children, just a real friendly wigglebum that would love a friend. He looks so heathly now.....poor Fergus!! Wish I had the guts to drive all that way and take you home!
