abcess tooth

my sweet cat chewbacca had a swelled cheek for 2 days took to vet and now they say she might have cancer i cant stop crying, but emergency care place said looked like an abcessed tooth. im so sick. she is 13 a calico and so sweet.:sad:

I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time, ragtopgirl. Whose care is she under now, and what tests have they done?

that this is an abcess and not cancer! Hang in there.

Ragtopgirl,lets hope it's only a bad tooth,sounds to me very likely.
What did the vet base the idea of cancer on??

abcess tooth

thank you for your concern, she will be treated tomorrow for her abcess and tooth removal, will do a biopsy to make sure its just an abcess!!!, i am praying for a good report!! keep me and her in your thoughts, thank you.

My 17yr old tortie just had a couple of teeth removed & she came through the surgery with flying colours. Duffy & I send for Chewbacca I'm sure she'll do fine.
