A pregnant cat infested with fleas needs treatment. Please take her to the vet.
How far along is she? If it's very early in the pregnancy, you can still get her spayed. Did you know? One unspayed female cat, her mate and all their offspings, producing 2 litters per year, with an average of 2.8 surviving kittens per litter can total: 12 cats after 1 year 67 cats after 2 years 376 cats after 3 years 2,107 cats after 4 years 11,801 cats after 5 years 66,088 cats after 6 years 370,092 cats after 7 years 2,072,514 cats after 8 years 11,606,077 cats after 9 years PLEASE, SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS |

Bathe her regularly, just plain gentle cat shampoo (not flea shampoo because she is pregnant and it could harm her babies)
There are flea combs you can buy that work well, brush her thoroughly a few times a day. Make sure you vacuum carpets daily to control the spread of the population. You may want to try and keep her issolated from the flea infected places (i.e carpeted areas) when the time comes that she has her kittens. Trying to and minimize the spread to her newborns is essential. Good luck, I know they can be so frustrating to try and remove permanately. The best natural thing you can do is constant cleaning, it's more work but safer in the end! |
