our girls weekend!

so I had a girls weekend with 3 very close friends from here.
Kandy from wyoming
Beaglemum from Ottawa
GoldenGirls from Quebec
and moi at my house in Cornwall.
You would swear we grew up together, so much fun, so much nonsense and silliness, like Brandi forgetting it was MY house and having the nerve to alert the sleeping girls that Melinda just got out of the bathtub, or of GG teaching us all the finer art of "dancing" away from the wasps that really really liked her *L* Kandy was the almost the victim of a tossed flyswatter thrown by the wasp dancer, and through it all was calm Beaglemum snapping away with her camera and her keen eye for details, oh and her wonderful way with the bonfire!!

the beginning of our weekend

this way to the fire

camera shy, Kandy and GG

keeping warm, Kandy and GG

*L* they do don't they? Brina learnt in the 4 short days Kandy was here that if you sat on the deck and barked, that Kandy would grab a toy and play!!! didn't matter that she just came from a two mile walk....she wanted to play and Kandy obliged!!!

Looks like one of those weekends that could easily have used another 4 or 5 days... Don't they just fly by?

Great pics, Melinda!

Wow. I am so un-photogenic. LOL

Had a wonderful time though, it was like we'd known each other all our lives! I really hated to come home. If I could've talked DH into shipping the dogs to me, and the grandbabies when they are born, I would've just stayed!

And yes, Brina had me wrapped around her paw within a very short time period - not only for playing, but for giving bites of my food to the poor starving puppy!! LOL

Sure looks like you guys had a good time. I guess my invite got lost in the mail Melinda, I have the same little patio set you have (the two chair and table steel one). Looked like a good old camping trip, but without giving up the luxury of home. So glad it turned out to be such fun for you all.
Great pics by the way.

Ummm.......sorry. LOL Guess she just knows it when she sees a sucker.

I think GG would've been all out yakking if she had seen how Lexi cleans the drool off both Hazel and Parker. LOL

I was disappointed that I didn't get to meet Sydney & Spencer! Next time if your hubby gets sick, we'll just have to go pick them up ourselves.

It was an all around great weekend, I really hated to see it end.

I am still getting people here telling me that they are glad my friends didn't turn out to be serial killers. LOL Guess they think that everyone on the net is a freak.

It's soooo cool that you guys got to meet ! Seemed like a lot of fun.

The puppers looked great too

I found that , meeting pets.ca members is like meeting friends you have known for a long time ! It's never weird to finally meet in person , just a lot of fun !
