Cat has distended, leaking stomach, cloudy eyes, fur loss, weight loss

I was just told today that my mom's cat has had severe weight loss lately, very noticeable. She also has fur loss in patches, cloudy eyes, and a distended stomach on one side, with some sort of "rust coloured ooze" leaking from her stomach area. I was wondering what might be wrong, she doesn't have enough money to bring the cat in to the vet to check it out.

This cat NEEDS to see a vet! These are very dire symptoms and it would be impossible for anyone here to give advice other than to say this poor kitty needs medical attention ASAP. Where does your mom live? There are agencies that can provide financial assistance to low-income pet owners. Failing that, are there any family members or friends that can loan her some money?

Your Mom could ask the Vet about a payment plan. The cat needs to see a Vet immediately. It sounds at this stage as if she needs to go to an Emergency Vet if your own is not open now.

She's in urgent need of a vet. Seems like an EMERGENCY. Please look into payment plans or check with the humane society for help as in orientation of what to do in to get medical assistance for your cat. She needs someone to see her. Don't waste any more time.
I for her to be strong. But she really needs to see a vet. Remember the saying "Where there's a willl, there's a way".
