LOST HIMALAYAN in Cambridge

Kipper has been missing for 3 weeks and I am losing hope
He is a neutered CREAM and GREY , longhaired male, 4yrs old.
He has never been out of his backyard so if he is still out there
he will be very scared and confused
A cat sounding like him was spotted in the Ferguson area
I looked all hours day and night but nothing
His brother (they look like twins) is very lonely
I have looked and looked, put up flyers, let the Humane Society
know and am still running an ad in the Cambridge Times
I feel horrible and wish he could come home where he belongs
I live in the Clemens Mill area but my little man could be anywhere
Please call Lynda 519-624-8031 or 519-212-0393
I'm still trying to find you Kipper

Linda I know your pain...you feel so helpless. Please have hope. many years ago I lost a grey persian cat, she was spooked by thunder, she was gone
for over two months...she appeared in a field beside our house one night as we turned in the drive, I saw her eyes shine in the dark. She was skin and bones and pine needles. She was obviously up a tree and scared to come down. Despite all our efforts to find her, she found her way back.

Don't give up hope, you are doing all the right things.

You didn't mention faxing his picture to all the vet offices in your area, in case someone takes him in.
Don't give up, keep walking around your neighbourhood, replacing posters that have been removed and talking to everyone (knocking on doors if necessary). I'm betting he hasn't gone far, particularly since he has been neutered. How far is Ferguson?

Himalayans are extremely timid creatures. He is probably very close and too afraid to come out except when it is very quiet. Please keep looking, he needs you to. Look at dawn and after 9PM for him. If he has a favourite food sound (like shaking a bag of treats, opening a can of turna, etc.) take it with you on your searches. If it is not quiet out, he may not come out of hiding, even if he hears you calling.

Try putting out a box with some of his things in it. He may hide in there at night.

Good luck and keep us posted. Sending you

I am trying to attach a picture of my Pippy (Kipper)
I am not to good with attachements but will try
Thanks so much for the responses
Ferguson is about 3km from me
The cat that a woman saw has not shown his face
I will try some more Vets in the area and keep looking
I spent so much time at Ferguson now I feel sick thinking
it might not have been him and should have been looking close to home
My husband works out of town and my daughter is at camp for 3 more weeks
so I just feel useless
I am waiting for a miracle
Thanks again for your kind words and help
It means alot
Lynda

He is a beauty. He is probably not far from home. If you can, try going out at about 4-5 AM to look and call. Bring some type of noise maker that he knows and will come out for.

Good luck.

Hi angeldogs

Ferguson is off of Elgin and Avenue Rd across from De Pietro's
2-3 km from our house
The cat seen there hasn't surfaced.
I concerned that someone has taken him in
thinking he is a stray
I will put more flyers in the area and try some different streets
before I head to Orillia today
Thanks for asking

Lynda

If someone is feeding him, great, because not eating can have serious consequences, but I wonder how many people are likely to take in a stray, even a gorgeous guy like your Pippy. I think you'd be surprised.
You could knock on some doors, neighbours love to rat each other out, at least in my neighbourhood. Some people don't even look at posters so talking can often get you more or different information.
Good luck

I agree with Badger. He is such a gorgeous boy that someone likely has him if he allowed himself to be caught. I would go knocking on peoples doors and also ask them to look in their garages/sheds or anywhere else he could be hiding. Also look "up" into all trees. Sending lots of good luck your way.

I hope your letter catches peoples attention. Good luck. He's a beautiful cat and I wouldn't be surprised if some one took him in. Anyone who found him would know he's a well kelp cat and maybe start looking for the owner. Don't give up. Good vibes coming your way.
