nosing around in other dog's genitals

quite embarassing, i know, but everythime we take our little bassett to the dog park, he spend his time sniffing and licking the other dog's genitals. i have never had a dog that is so obsessed with this. the occasional sniff is quite normal, but this guy is rediculous.

anyone have a solution???

How old is Milo?

Is he neutered?

Is he sniffing/licking female dogs only?

That is often a sign of submission but unfortunately not one that all dogs are very accepting of . Is he a puppy?

He's a basset, too, aren't they big "nose" dogs?

yes milo is a puppy (7 months), who is not yet neutered... and he'll pretty much lick anyone who is slow enough for him to catch up to. although he likes the big dogs because they are easy access!!!

do you think he may lighten up on the invasions once he is neutered...

as funny as this sounds, i'm a bit worried that one of these violated pups might get annoyed and bite him...maybe that's the key???

i have recently uploaded a bunch of pics in our profile...but none of him in action unfortunately (i'm not very proud of this behaviour)
