Does anyone know of a breeder who breeds 'parrolets?'

Are you looking for one for yourself? If so, it can be quite a challenge to have cats, kittens and small birds existing together. There have been many incidents of cats doing away with the family bird. Just a caution.

Hi,

I actually have 1 declawed cat who spends most of her time outdoors. Needless to say she finds the bird 'boring' and dosn't bother it. She is 8 years old so she also lost kind of that playfulness.(Still never take them out at the same time for precaution)

When I foster cats(don't have any now) they all stay upstairs(the are 4 large rooms uphere so it makes it almost the size of a small apartement.) Downstairs(living room) is where I keep my birds.

YES, DE-CLAWED CATS SHOULD NEVER BE OUTSIDE ALONE EVER!!!!!!

I have a cat and 2 birds (and dogs, and a lot of other pets)
My cat is afraid of my one bird, and uninterested in the other bird.
But I dont suggest getting a bird from the breeder, go to a parrot/bird rescue...

I have two cats and two budgies as well as dogs. I just built a special shelf for the birds where my cats couldn't access.
I have no idea about breeders though

Even though this thread is old it seems to have gotten some recent posts. My cat who goes outside 1)has her back claws, 2) It is an enclosed area nothing can come in/get out 3) We watch her if on an occasion let her out past our premises(which is rare).. and she only goes out in the summer.
