Is he straining? Looking for a place to go and then giving up? What's his stool like?

Yea that's what he's been doing for two days now... When i hold him it feels like he's getting bad cramps. He feels very tense every 5-10 minutes. He is not acting himself, he sleeps all day and doesn't want to get out of his bed. When i call him over, he walks to me like i've punished him....

Constipated dog
After you've been to vet to see how compacted he is or if its his anal glands instead then pure pumpkin (not pie filling) until everything is pooping smoothly and a daily sprinkle of metamucil on his food. What does he eat on a daily basis - type of dog food?

Is he eating normally? Has he passed any stool at all in the last couple of days?
Could he have gotten into anything that would be causing a blockage? |

Best to have him checked at the vet if he hasn't gone by the morning, mochee. Something isn't right... Poor guy must be getting pretty uncomfortable!
for a good poop by morning.

If he hasn't pooped by Thursday morning then I would take him into the vet right away as it sounds like he may have a blockage. Good luck and keep us posted.

i brought him in.. I didn't want to take any chances. He was constipated and they gave him an enema and meds. He's doing way better. Back to his normal self.

Constipated dog
Glad to hear he's seen a vet and is feeling better, just so he doesn't have the same problem again (in case he's prone to constipation as one of my dogs is) just a sprinkle of Metamucil (yellow tubular container) will keep things moving.
