Segucio

We got a puppy in July and he's adorable. Buddy is a cross between an American Beagle and a Segucio (which is some Italian hunting dog). I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a Segucio and if they knew how big they grow.

We bought him from a man who's beagle got pregnant by accident. He showed me the father, but Buddy looks like neither.

I Have never heard of it... but there are many breeds not in Canada that I have never heard of...
Im off to google the breed and see what comes up, interested to know what they look like.
I hope you didnt pay too much either for your pup, who knows who the father "really" is someone who allows accidental pregnancies obviously has some bizzare ethics if any JMO

Do you have a pic? Sounds fishy... Likely that the parents were either different than the dogs they showed you or it was just a free for all on the female (females can get pregnant by different males for the same litter).

Thanks guys for the responses. Melinda, thanks for the link. No wonder I couldn't find it, I couldn't spell it.

As to the owner. He went on vacation and left his dogs with a neighbour, and the neighbour wasn't as vigilant as he should be. I should say the owner lives on a large farm type property and lets his two dogs have the run of the property (usually separately or under supervision).

It seems the neighbour let all the dogs loose at the same time, both sets and that's how the Segugio got to the Beagle. Buddy looks exactly like the picture Melinda linked to, except he is smooth haired.

If I can manage, I'll attach a picture. Hopefully this worked.
