Sick after a knuckle bone

Yesterday I gave Autumn a knuckle bone for the first time in the afternoon. She ate her supper as normal but later in the evening she threw up several time which looked to be just kibble which she re-ate. yuck! Then sometime during the night when we were sleeping she threw up in her crate. Big dog=big vomit. What a mess, I had to haul her crate liner outside to spray off. She then threw up 2 more times. This time the stuff from the middle of the night and this morning was pale yellowy, white whith small chunks of the bones in it.

She pooped this morning and for the first time in her life it was hard little turds about the side of my thumb and a light color. She wasn't straining to poop. I would imagine these would resemble the poop of a raw fed dog?

I did not give her any breakfast and thought I would fast her. Is this normal after a knuckle bone??? Is there anything I can do for her? She has an extremely sensitive digestive system so I am always real careful in what she gets though she's fine with pig ears and bull sticks so I figured a knuckle bone would be ok....

The poop sounds pretty normal for a dog who has never had a bone before or has one only rarely. And I honestly wouldn't be overly concerned about the 'ing . Marrow is very rich and with kibble thrown in there as well it was likely just too much for her tummy to handle. Some people skip the evening meal in favour of the bone and give their dogs digestive enzymes in advance. You could also try raw turkey necks as the bones are very soft.

if my dogs have not had any raw bones with a lot of meat on, I only give the bone for a short period of time and then collect up and freeze and give again a couple days later allowing them to fully enjoy, dog when they are not feed raw meats lose the enzymes in their stomach necessary to break the raw meats down so tend to vomit introducing a tiny bit helps to restore
