Hello everyone......I have a question on our dog Blossum???????/

Our dog Blossum is a 5 yr old mix between pekinese and Lasso apso....She has a bad disk in her back, but that is not the problem ....She has been less active for the last 5 days, and seems to be acting like she has a cold or alergy. She sneezes alot very inactive and pants more. She sounds like her repsiratory tract is wet and me and my wife are worried about her. The reason I have not taken her to the vet is economic, in that times are tough. I will take her to the vet if needed, but what are the signs of really needing to go to the vet? Is it possible if she does not get worse that she will get over what she has now. What are the signs she definitely needs to go to the vet? By the way, Honestly I have also acquired a cold the last 2 days. I dont get sick very often, but my stomach hurts alittle and I have a sore throat. Could Blossum and I have the same thing?

You and your dog do not have the same ailement. People and dogs don't pass on colds/flus to each other. I would be taking Blossum to the vet now. Five days in respitory distress I think is too long.
