PetNet microchips

I was not aware until just an hour ago that PetNet is no longer in existence. My dog has a PetNet microchip. I recall getting a letter from PetNet about four years ago stating that they were going to start charging an annual fee. Then they said that the fee didn't apply to pets microchipped before January 1, 2003.

I then learned that for animals that were microchiped before 2003, their information was sold to a company called AVID. I called AVID and discovered that they don't have all of PetNet's information prior to 2003 but they did have my dog registered. They gave me an email address so I could updated my contact information.

I did some more digging and found that apparently all animals formerly registered with PetNet are currently registered with either AVID 1-800-338-1397 or M4S 1-877-738-4384.

I hope this may be of help to someone.
