Unhappy wheezing cat

My kitten is about 3 months old and was brought home from a farm. He appeared to have a cold when we got him. I had him vaccinated and the cold seemed to get worse. It has been about two weeks since the shot - and another two weeks until he will get a booster - he is still wheezing and sounds congested. Is this a reaction to the shot - or just a "cat cold"?
