My cat swalled a toy mouse tail
I adopted my almost 2 year old cat just 3 months ago. So a friend came over today and brought her a toy mouse w/a string/cord type of tail. Izzy promptly chew off the tail and swallowed it. OH.MY.GOSH I'm a nervous mommy now. She has not done this to any other of her toy mice. Anyway friend feels horrible so she called the vet and vet's assistant said some cats do that and it should pass by tomorrow night.
Is there anything (besides her poo) that I should be watching for to indicate that there might be a problem. I'm a nervous wreck. |

How long would you say the mouse tail was?
Things to watch for would be lethargy, loss of appetite, hiding, vomiting, straining to defecate. If your cat seems "off" in any way, I'd get to a vet for x-rays.

Not likely to cause a problem then, but do keep an eye on her just in case.

My one cat i used to have Junior ( he died of a brain tumor 4 years ago) ate 2 or 3 of those fake fur mise , fortunetly he didnt eat the plastic body inside, he ate the leathery and fuzzy outside. The vet told me the same thing , to just make sure he goes to the bathroom normally. I am glad i didnt have to have his stomach pumped or anything, he didnt have any problems. I definetly didnt buy them again.
