Super preggo kitty

A few weeks ago I went and picked up a gorgeous little Manx cat who was pregnant and left at the shelter due to 'allergies'
The shelter wanted her fostered out as that is no environment for babies to be born
She is a very chill girl, loves everyone and everything with the small exception of being pregnant. I feel so bad for her, she should be due any day now, we really thought she was about due 2 weeks ago when I picked her up but I guess we were wrong. Her milk is filling in very well right now and she is super uncomfortable, no position is a good position for her.
I'm pretty anxious to meet the kittens, the shelter will be placing them up for adoption with a cat rescue once they are old enough for their first set of vaccines. As for momma Phoenix, she will be staying here I really had no desire to get another cat but in all honesty a kitty like her comes around only once every so often, she reminds me so much of Mr.Floyd with her demeanour and since he is getting to be an older boy ( he's only 10 ish but still) she will be a perfect fit here as she just loves everyone.
Here's a few pics of her huge belly, I was trying to get a nice profile face picture of her but she never stops moving and rubbing against your legs

The closest I could get to a face picture lol

Oh yeah, I had posted this in the health section for a reason.
Last couple days I have had to clean her bum area for her as she has a bit of soft poops that seem to get stuck in her fur, poor girl.
I was just curious if this is somewhat normal for this stage of pregnancy with cats

Erykah,I am glad you'll be keeping her, hopefully she's ready to give birth soon
I have nil experience with kitty-births,so cannot give any advice, however if you suspect she's late delivering maybe a vet should have a look at her.
Of course when the babies are born, pics are a must.

I've only had to deal with one pregnant cat, but she did indeed have some soft poopage late in her pregnancy and while she was nursing. It was also uber stinky, and she had the worst room-clearing gas imaginable. Partly due, I'm sure, to the massive amounts of food she was eating (16+ oz of wet food per day), and also likely because she was processing the waste of her 5 kittens.

Speaking of food, what are you feeding her?

A friend of mine who has a petstore donated her some Before Grain cat food and lots of Innova kitten food, since her history of food is relatively unknown I am feeding her the BG mixed with a little kitten food as well. When she first arrived here she had a little bout of the runs from the food change and the amount of stress she had endured in the week previous ( being dumped, living in a shelter, car ride here ect) that cleared up nicely after less than a day. Todays litter box deposit was normal and nothing stuck to her bum at all. I'm thinking of shaving her a little poop track. She is such a chilled out cat that i really don't see her minding a little encounter with some clippers as long as she is being held and petted. Seriously one of the sweetest cats I have ever met.

Bless your soul for taking in this kitty and giving her a loving place to have her babies and then a permanent home. She looks lovely, aren't red females more uncommon than males? She does look huge, but sorry I also have no experience with pregnant kitties. I agree that a vet visit may be in order if you really don't know when she's due, you wouldn't want to take any chances on her having trouble and not knowing it. Hugs to you for being such a caring human!
