Welcome to the board, Lori!
You'll soon find out that we're insatiable as far as pics go, so if you have any to share, now would be a good time! heheh No pressure, though, no pressure....

Sure, photography is an amateur hobby of mine so there is certainly no shortage of pictures!
I'll post each picture in a separate post so I can tell their stories, I believe they were all destined for our family and we love them very much I'll start with our newest addition, Huntley. As I said, he's a 10 month old Pug/Beagle mix. My husband had been wanting a Pug since we put our last dog down just over 2 years ago, I wasn't 100% sold on the idea of getting a puppy but then I fell in love with the Pug/Beagle Mix (and yes, I call him a Puggle just because I think it sounds cute and is easier than explaining his mix every time). I have always believed that the animals that are meant for us will come to us and it came true in this case, I had my eyes open for a Puggle and we found him online in January. His original owners were separating and he was living in a loft downtown, it wasn't a practical situation for such an energetic puppy but their mishap was most certainly our gain. He's a handful and I've never had a puppy before, my experience was solely with older dogs and this has been quite a learning experience for us! Here's our baby boy: |

Our oldest is Grace, she's been with us since July 2001 when she started visiting through our cat door that we had installed for the cat we had at the time. It was moving time in our area and I suspect she was dumped, we guessed her age to be about 1 yr. at the time. I posted pictures and contacted the SPCA and other rescues but nobody ever claimed her so she joined our family.

And finally, BadKitty. My daughter found her in the local park in Sept. 2010, she was pathetically underweight and had obviously been outside for some time. We are guessing she was a kitten when we found her but she's still very tiny, we think her growth was stunted from being hungry as a baby
Anyway, we did the usual routine of contacting rescues and posting pictures, we drove around every night for a week looking for lost posters and trying to find her people. Once again we had no replies so she's ours, her name was originally Ella but we found ourselves (laughingly and lovingly) calling her BadKitty constantly because she's so darn curious, she's the cuddly one in our brood and loves to get into mischief. |
