My cat is about 6 years old and has stopped eating...and drinking water she hides in my room all day long and only comes out at night! and she used to be a little over weight now it seems as though she's loosing too much weight....i need help.. i am taking her to the vet this weekend coming hoping for some answer

Hi,

This is serious and a vet trip is completely called for.

There are many possibilities including a hairball or some other obstruction. It could be a slew of problems relating to any of the internal organs involved in digestion.

Could also be an emotional/behavior response to a new stressor.

Basically this cat needs to see a vet and fast in order to determine what is causing this severe condition.
