dental care for cats
Is there something natural to brush my cat's teeth with to remove a tartar build up or plaque?
My cat was put on an Rx diet last year (s/o urinary canned feline diet for FLUTD with early CRF signs). Since then, her teeth have gotten quite a layer of crud! She can't eat a dry food diet or even the daily dental crunchies, because of her tendancy for urinary problems. Commercial feline toothpastes I have seen have ingrediants like hydrated silica, formulated hydrogen peroxide, and tea tree oil - which don't sound like they should be swallowed : ) and additives for sweetness like sorbitol and stevia. Does anyone use something more safe and natural? Thanks a million!

Ya, raw meat and bones! Best teeth cleaner there is. If that's not your thing, you can get something from the vet called CET chews, but not all cats like them. Otherwise, just make sure you have regular dental cleanings, at least annually.
