well i guess i should introduce myself..

Hi.
I have been happily picking all your brains for a few days now and realised that i havent introduced myself. so here i go. (and thank you for all the input so far.) My name is Jane and i am the recent "mom" of Roland, a Domestic short hair (well maybe a little longer than short but not quite medium) ginger and white kitten. I left South Africa 6.5 years ago and had to leave my kitty behind with my Dad. Since then i have had a huge want for a kitty, but until recently have not been settled enough to do so. It took four weeks of hinting and begging alternately to get my bf to agree to one on the condition that he could name it. So i said no problem and he came home and became Roland. i didnt think it was right for him at first but he is now totally a Roland (or roly as i sometimes call him). I love him WAY too much if thats possible. Hes such a joy and even when hes being a naughty little i love him to bits.
anyway so thats my story really. I dont rembemer being so obsessive over my cats (we had 6 at one stage (well for long time)) but my friends laugh at me for crying the whole day he was being neutered and for talking about him like hes my child. but all you cat lovers out there, although im sure will understand.
nice to make your aquaintance and once again thank you for all the input so far!

What a sweetie Roland is!

Using my 1,000th post to welcome you to the forum! I hope that brings luck to both of us and our collective furbabies!! hehehe

And I know exactly how you felt about the neutering and talking about Roland like he's your kid. We feel the same way about our dogs!
