Beethoven

Does anyone have a dog(?) named Beethoven on Petfinders? If so, I received the following e-mail which was obviously sent to me in error, as we don't have any Beethoven on Petfinder. PM me for the e-mail address of the sender.

Quote:
Hello,

I am hoping this goes through, I have been trying for days to get to you.
The email address with Pet Finder was not working.

My family and I are interested in adopting Beethoven to becaome a part of
our family. We have a detached home, fenced yard, two boys 4 and 8 and I am
home most of the day. I really hope he is still avalable.

Sphinx has a cat named Beethoven on petfinder. But if she is talking about a fenced in yard...wouldn't it be a dog that she is looking for?

Here is Beethoven.

They probably wrote to you because of the "SOS" in the rescue name!

I have no idea whether it is a dog or cat they are looking for (my guess is a dog). If anyone has a dog that requires a fenced yard and would be good with 2 boys (4 and 8), pm me and I'll pass on the potential adoptors coordinates.

Just got another e-mail ... the potential adoptor of "Beethoven" saw him on the SOS Rescue Quebec site on petfinders. Her e-mails have been bouncing back to her and she desperately wants to contact them to adopt.

Does anyone know someone there???

FYI,
Their other affiliations are Take me Home and Refuge Alma, the latter having appeared to have been removed from petfinder.

Does anyone know this rescue ? There has been questions going around about them recently and I'd be happy to hear from anyone involved with them, so we can know them better. Their petfinder write up states they rescue dogs from a pound in Alma up North.

(Sorry BMDLuver, our messages crossed !)

Yes, the name appears to have changed. I emailed them a couple times in the past, but the only "Beethoven" dog I could find was the one I linked above, so this must be the dog these people are trying to adopt.

I did some searching myself and came across their site (they are in Brampton, Ontario) and they are contacting the adoptor directly. I e-mailed the adoptor and she is excited to be able to have a chance to adopt Beethoven.

Thanks everyone for your input!

I was also interested in adopting Beethoven but he was adopted before I made up my mind. Does anyone know if the adoption went through and was the recipient happy with the process? The rescue organization is also one that I would like info on. Thanks ch-wood@hotmail.com Hopefully I can private message soon.

Personally, I know nothing about SOS Quebec as they are quite far away http://www.petfinder.org/shelters/ON209.html. Re Beethoven: I had been able to contact SOS Quebec by e-mail and the adoption coordinator was going to contact the potential adoptor immediately, so I assume Beethoven was still available at the time and the adoptor was very keen on adopting him. As you say he is no longer available, I have to assume that she adopted him.
