Copy cats
I don't think a dog ever looks as happy as a cat when they find something nice to rub against. Sibi and Ginger held me up at the gate for quite a few minutes.
Aaww, come on, it's my turn. |

Nice that these brothers are such good mates. Thought I'd share seeing happy cats bring a smile to some faces.

Awwww, your beautiful kitties .
Puddles never walks in a straight line, she has to rub up against every corner and piece of furniture.

That sounds like Ginger. I have lots of photo's of him rubbing on shrubs in the garden. I think he compensates though for not wanting any human touching him. Sad, isn't it? If I can gently get his tail and let it slide through my hands he will hang around and maybe I'll get to stroke his whole body, but at heart he is an outdoor semi feral. (sigh.) The tabby boy loves attention, though not being held in your arms.

goldfinger, when I had my first feral, I sat down for hours outside waiting for him to approach me...it took me forever and so much patience before he approached me one day and finally rubbed up against me...but boy did I have to wait for it.
Having said that, I have two semi-ferals downstairs that have yet to do that and I have had them for 4 years..so every cat has his own time line and some just want to have a long distance "love fest" going on!...usually arms length |

cpietra16, I think you are right. These cats are getting old now and still Ginger wants me at arm's length. While I am very happy they didn't end up like their mother - a big lovely long coat tabby, who sadly died of cat flu, totally feral so no way of helping her - I think our next cats, if we get any, will be from domesticated mothers. I miss having smoochy cats like our last pair, Toast and Marmalade.
LP, the boys should look good. They are mighty hunters, killing mice, rabbits, possums, birds, yet they always turn up demanding their feed at night and again in the morning. Very active all their lives so they must burn up a lot of energy. Best of both worlds really, vaccinated and wormed, well fed, but free as the wind. |
