awwwww

She is beautiful. Pity she can't be with other dogs. I have two families looking but both have another dog. I'm sure with that beauty she'll find a fantastic home.

Thanks anyway, Jenn! It is too bad, she's such a good girl People get turned off by the no dog/no cats thing. Hopefully someone will come along soon that doesn't mind having an only child!

awwwww

I see nothing wrong with having a dog that is an only dog. If people get turned off by it then perhaps they shouldn't have a dog to begin with. She's fabulous and if someone can't see that she is worth flying solo with then on them. Sorry, thus ends my lecture for this evening! Just drives me nuts what expectations people have when adopting!

I don't think people are turned off. I think the problem is that people who love animals usually have at least one already.

We have one of the most beautiful cats I've ever seen listed, and she's been there since November. Her pic doesn't do her justice - all soft and snow white with baby pink ears and nose. She is sweet and loving, but cannot go with other animals. Many people wanted her and when told she needed to be the only pet, were very disappointed.

No doubt it's much harder finding a home for an animal who must be an "only" but it can be done!

Daisy is SO cute! I"m sure she'll get a home!

That's very true, Lucky. I find all our applicants at least always have a cat-and that means we have to scratch them right away

We will keep being positive though!

She is beatiful! I love boxers and maybe someday I will be able to adopt one.

When they say that she should be an only pet in the household, does that mean that she can't even be enrolled in doggie daycare? I was just curious because I know some people may be willing to have just one dog, but sometimes they may have to interact with others for some reason. For example, when we go up to our cottage, everyone up there has dogs and they usually interact with one another.

Just curious. Thanks.

hey Beaglemom!
Daisy is more territorial and doesn't like other dogs in her home. She is fine at the vets and when she sees other dogs on walks etc. a doggie daycare situation should be fine.

Thank you for the clarification, I have always wondered that when I search the rescue websites.

She really is gorgeous and I wish that my husband and I could adopt her ourselves! Maybe someday we will be able to adopt one. We would have absolutely no problem having just one dog, so maybe we will be able to offer a home to an only dog someday.

Is Daisy aggressive to other dogs only, or to cats as well?
