Mervin is leaking solids :(
Hi All,
I have a question about my cat in hopes someone can offer some help... Mervin is a 4 year old Tabby cat with either a fussy digestive system, or an anal gland issue. He's constantly leaving little balls of poop all over the house. He eats regularly, uses his litter and is otherwise generally normal (but not too bright). We took him to the vet a while ago and asked him if he could fix him and he basically laughed, saying this problem is impossible. We don't know what to do. We'd like to give him away, but don't think anyone would take him with this issue. Basically we're looking for some input from someone who's dealt with this same problem. Advice? What can we do with him? We obviously don't want to put him down, but are stuck for input. Please help! |

We're feeding him Natural Balance. It has higher fiber to help with his issue.
We've tried every food available. This one seems to be the best, but his issue remains. |

Here'a another more question for ya;
1 - what the consistency of the poop in general and the "poop balls" being left all over the house. (very hard - very soft - medium) 2 - also what size are the poops and the poop balls? (green pea sized, marble sized etc.) 3 - Canned food or dry as L4H wonders
