Vet visit

My 8 year old black lab Max goes to the vet tomorrow. He seems in reasonable health stil as "mad" as ever haha hopefully this is just to get a few jabs and an overall check-up but i have noticed a sort of black spot in his eye-its like a piece of dirt in his eye! Its not sticking out or anything-he doesnt seem to be in pain ,he still seems to be in good enough mind and his eyesight seems fine. I hope its nothing serious-will keep you posted.

Is the spot on his iris or on the third eyelid? We have a dog with a lot of pigment on his nictitating membrane (the third eyelid) and another with dark spots on her iris. Both are usually benign conditions, but it never hurts to have a vet check them.

for a good vet visit tomorrow!

Hey,
Sorry havent been on in a while. He did a couple of tests on the wee spopt and said it appears to be nothing and it aint affecting his sight, but we are still to keep an eye on it!It could just be something he has developed he will have for the rest of his days! He also said Max is in good shape for his age-a couple of signs of, for want of a better phrase, wear and tear but nothing serious. Also said that as Max has a very mild form of arthrius maybe in a year or 2 he will need a liquid medicine permanently!
