Here are a few of the fosters I have:

This is a mom chin and her 2 daughters. They were all over, in a guinea pig rescue, then a vet, then a home and them surrendered to me. The one chin had a leg amputated due to ramps in a cage (big no no for chins!) and since I've had them they 2 daughters have seizures. That's under control but they are staying put for now unless I find a really great home for the trio:

This is Suichi a male black velvet. He's come a long way and I can't wait for him to find a great home.

AND the newest rescue. Chilli a male standard who is crazy full of energy:

What a great fur family, tagna!!

I didn't know chinchillas came in so many varieties!!!! And I didn't know you could even get lemmings anywhere!

Scrappy, Tequila and Fudge are gorgeous, too!

All the fur babies are just gorgeous!! Love the shot (no pun intended) of tequila in the classic stalking mode.

They are steppe lemmings and I really don't think they make good pets. There is so little known about what they eat in a domestic setting. I have created my own "mix" of things that seems to work. The life expentancy is 20 months for them. The one that died she lasted for 15 months. I'm at 18 months with the other one now.

I have some videos of them on youtube. They are funny but I won't be getting anymore.

what a sad tale about the lemmings living so short a life and the chin with the leg amputated, another case of not doing research before buying a pet. we bought our chin in a petstore because they were advertising him as a perfect pet for children and kids were picking him up and dropping him, squeezing him etc, knowing how fragile their rib cages are I felt so sorry for him, bought him on the spot and then went to a pet feed store to buy all the supplies. the store that sold him was finally shut down , thank god, and 9 yrs later I still have my timothy.....I just love chins.

Oh here is a site with a look at all the different mutations. Well there are a few not on the list but they are "rarer" types:

What a lovely Critter family you have!

Love Scrappy, Tequila and Fudge.

I have never had any chincillas but they do look so adorable. I didn't know they came in so many varieties either.

Thank you for rescuing.
