Question Min-Pin will not eat bland diet, has pancriatitus

My min-pin is home for the weekend after two weeks at the vet for pancriatitus. Take her back twice a day for her meds. But she will not eat the bland diet they told me I have to give her. She will eat maybe a tablespoon a day. So far I have tried turkey, chicken, baked potatoe, pasta and rice. . She will only eat a fews bites a day. Any ideas of something else I could try. No oils and no seasonings.

The reason she's not eating really depends on the type and severity of the pancreatitis she has.

If it's a mild form, you might try human baby food - turkey or chicken. This is very easy to digest and most dogs cannot resist it.

Thanks

It was a bad attack. Maybe can try the baby food. I'll check when I take her back for pm meds.

OH the poor thing! Pancreatitis is awful and can be triggered by any fatty food.

It's a hit/miss situation with what they'll eat afterwards but they will eat, trust me.

Maybe try the babyfood, it sure sounds like a great idea to me.

How about the water intake what's that like?

If the attack was bad, she may be nauseated and painful and not feel like eating.

Maybe the vet can offer some help. Hope she gets better soon!
