It's Been A While...

Hello All,

Haven't posted much lately but have been lurking...lots of new members it seems!

I've been busy with work, the pets, wedding planning and trying to find some holiday cheer. We haven't had one speck of snow where I live and I'm just not excited for the holidays like I usually am  I've done some decorating at least and Smiley14 has some fabulous festive collars in the mail for me as we speak (Yes, I will take pictures!)

We now have a "shared custody" arrangement with Heidi. The future inlaws made a commitment to give her better care and seem to be following through as Heidi has been losing some of the excess pounds. They put a comfy bed in the kitchen for her (instead of having to sleep in the basement with her arthritis) and are staying on top of her meds. We have taken over buying her food so that they don't feed her crap and also keep her well-supplied with toys. I don't have any new pictures of her right now, but will take some over the holidays since we'll be sure to spend some quality time with her.

Anyway, here are just a couple pics for now.

- Chase and Kailey showing some sibling love

- Rupert, just doing his usual thing! (His nose is a bit red as he had a cold - is all cleared up now)

Kailey and Chase Such good friends! And Rupert, handsome as ever!!!

Glad you checked in--was sort of wondering how things were going. You have plenty on your plate...so maybe just save the holiday cheer for next year. The holidays always come round again...

How are the wedding plans coming along?

Thank you - thay are all pretty darn sweet aren't they?

I'm still hoping I'll catch some Christmas cheer....work is just killing me because my boss is a complete cow and I've had more than my fair share of verbal abuse from her The holidays ALWAYS make me happy, and I need some of that right about now. We have no big plans or anything, so it doesn't get too busy or stressful........but I don't even feel excited about curling up with some wine and watching It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve - and that's usually one of my favourite things ever! I just don't know why I'm not into it this year

Wedding plans are coming along very well. We went and picked bridesmaids dresses about a month ago, since my bridesmaid wanted to go shopping before her baby bump starts to show (she's due 3.5 months before the wedding). Both girls found beautiful full-length black dresses of their choosing - they love the dresses they picked - both are VERY classic - so that makes me feel really good. I want them to feel gorgeous, and I know they will be!

But otherwise things are on hold for now since we have some holiday visitng obligations and need to buy some gifts. I'm really far ahead anyway and don't need to do much else for a few months.

Hope everyone here is well!!!!

Snow will cure the holiday doldrums. I'm hoping we get some, too! Then maybe I'll catch some holiday cheer, too.

The bridesmaid's dresses sound gorgeous! And like something they'll be able to wear more than once, which is a boon.

Aww, the pups are looking good. And Rupert - I just love him. Although with that red nose he could have been Rudolph. Then you maybe could find some Christmas cheer.
It's hard to think Christmas when it is pouring rain outside. Normally by this time we've had a few dumps of snow. Now complaining though. I've been loving the warmer weather. The poor cataury is a quagmire though.
Good job on the wedding plans. Best to have them almost done and down pat so you have time to enjoy yourself and not panic as it approaches.
It's nice to see you back. Now you aren't panicked stick around and we'll give you some holiday cheer.

I know - He just would not stop licking it! And two days before that picture it was much worse. Fortunately the sneezies went away after about four days.

Thank you - will do

Aww, the pups look wonderful, and Rupert handsome as always.

I hear you on the holiday cheer. It's especially hard this year with the economy being what it has. But, maybe putting up decorations and baking cookies and stuff will make you feel better. I know it always does for me.

Well we had his Dad feel her three new lipomas and I think that scared him into taking us seriously. He still complains that he thinks we're "starving" her but he IS sticking to the feeding schedule we set up for her and no longer going and getting her Iams "gravy" at Wal-mart to top her food with
