Anyone else craft from recycled materials?

I have been bitten by the crafting bug lately.

a few months ago someone gave me all their material remnants.

i do NOT sew.

online i found so many ideas on what to make with all this cloth.

so i have been making stuff for my dogs..........

a 'tied' and stuffed dog bed!

ripping strips of cloth to knit blankets!

i also made a few collars out of old belts and tug toys from used rope.

so cool to make use of stuff that was going to be thrown away!

Well of course! Even guys prefer luxury and glam once in a while! They're both beautiful, btw!

I've never seen such a royal bed.

I got into recycling thrift store wool sweaters into mittens a few years ago. http://www.earthheartdesigns.com/Pag...wn_mittens.htm

All these came from one large men's sweater. Three cautions: The lint can gum up your washer, dryer and sewing machine, you must clean them much more often if you do this.

What a great idea. I have toyed with the idea of making a fleece bed for our pets. I am sure that they would love it. And the recycled part is even better Helping the environment and your pocketbook at the same time.
