Angry Pugs with collasped trech

Ok this is on my other dog. I know there are certain other breeds that get this and was just wondering what you do for your dog. My vet has been very good in helping me with her because I get so scared. She is 13-1/2. Just curious how other people handle it. I know it's a must I keep her weight down. Poor Gizzy she just loves to eat. The vet said only 1/3 cup 2x a day. I understand that because she really can't do much anymore as far as walking but she doesn't understand. LOL
