ASAP senior golden needs new home

11 year old male golden looking for a new home, has to go because of allergies. He is good with kids and all animals. He needs a new home OR foster family asap. Or else his owner will have him put down. Please pm me if you can help with this dog. Thanks.

They're getting rid of him because he has allergies? How sad that is. And, they'll have him PTS if they can't find a home. What is wrong with these people?

Do you have a pic to post? Fingers crossed for this poor guy to find a loving home he deserves.

I emailed a friend of mine, but I'm not sure... It would be her first foster if she says yes, but I'm not sure she would say yes... He'd be the perfect foster though- calm and old....

Awww, I wish I could help!! I will email my sister tho who lives in Mtl - she has one dog now, 2 might be good for her. <g> Her current one is an older dog now too - she has had him (from the SPCA in a city in NB) since he was a tiny puppy - and we are not sure what he is. We call him Heinz 57 - he looks part poodle, part Shizoo (sp?), part Yorkie, part Lassa Apso, who knows - a small dog needless to say and where she works, she is the only one with her official photo taken with her dog, lol

I think lots of people use that as an excuse when the dog gets on in years and they don't want the expense of vet bills.

Frenchy
Did you call this lady?
I didn't speak to her yesterday but from what I remember this is a very well behaved dog as most are at 11 .
I have a foster pup right now otherwise I would take him in.

Any Luck?

Have you had any luck finding a foster for Woody? I might be able to help or I might have someone willing to help. Frenchy, you can PM me if there have been no offers. Please keep us posted.

I heard from Frenchy today and there is a possibility a co-worker will adopt this dog. They are having a family meeting tonight.

I am sure Frenchy will be on later with an update.

I think Linus will be going to his new forever home tomorrow. If he does then I will be able to take this old guy on Sunday.

Hey, if someone else wants to foster I will give them a chance. I am sure there will be other dogs.

I stayed home today but just called my coworker. She told me it's 90% done deal. She has spoke to her kids , tonight will be the husband's turn. She is not working Thursday until next Monday so she hopes to get the dog Thursday and spend the long week end getting to know him. It's looking mighty good.
