Anyone know what kind of bird this is

They're little bug catchers. About the same size as a chickadee. Cute little devils, but I don't know what they are. Here's a front and a back shot of one of the little guys.

Sure looks like it to me. Name suits too, these little guys flit around catching bugs constantly. Seem to like the neighbours buggy pussywillow trees especially.

sorry, i shoudl also say it could be a few different flycatchers. im not sure the difference but physically they are all very similar. you could also look into Least Flycatcher and Alder Flycatcher to see if behaviorally there is more to it?

By looks and description, I'd have to say the yellow-bellied fly catcher. Thanks W4R!

Was it calling at all? About the only reliable way to tell the Empidonax flycatchers apart is by the call. But then, you can always do what hazel does --just tell everyone it's an Empidonax...sounds impressive and no one knows to ask "Which one?"
