What a sad tale...RIP Target...

What a sad story to read...I had seen the Oprah show when Target was on and she was an awesome companion for this soldier...

I also saw that show or course through tears. How incredibly sad and totally avoidable, just stupidity ended a hero's life

Why in the world was this animal pts? Shelters should all be "no kill" unless it is too sick to save....

This was inexcusable. Nobody took the time to even investigate why this dog was running lose. Surely he had a collar so it had to be apparent he was owned. What was the rush to kill this poor girl?

What really makes me angry is the employee is "on paid leave of absence" until this is investigated. Man, let me tell you, in my next life I want a county job. Because nowhere in the world, can you work for any organization and f@#&k up so badly and get a paid vacation like that.

I feel sorry for every single animal there!

At least they admit it was a tragic mistake not that it brings Target back but most never admit fault. I know if I knew what I know now I would work for the government no matter how bad you are at your job you are there for life.

What a sad tale

Stupidity on the part of the shelter for their inept employee, but why was she not wearing a collar with tags or have a micro-chip and how did she escape her yard? Sgt. Young should have put more effort in locating her especially after seeing her pic through animal control. Bunch of irresponsible dummies.
