Don't give up...I wanted to share this email I got from an owner who lost her dog in Toronto:
Hi Shirley,

A neighbour had grabbed my dog and was holding on to him for over a week, they took care of him and really liked him in hopes to keep him, but Audi missed his home and wouldn't let no one sleep or play with him. I went around distributing many flyer's to all neighbours and near by business which made difficult for them to keep him and finally they took him to an animal shelter in Mississauga.

The flyer's and posters really helped out. The local news paper was going to be my next step.

The one thing I learnt from all of this is, if your dog has been gone for over 3-4 days and you have not heard anything, someone has to be holding on to them and the best thing to do is spread the word around. Never give up, dogs know their home!

I think there are many of us who believe their pets have been kept by someone...I do believe this happens more
than we want to imagine!

Naomi, any news at all?

Tarzan () went missing for over a week. We searched high and low, drove out to every possible sighting...When all hope was gone, one night he came home, jumped the fence to the back yard and came by the back door, knowing that at the front we wouldn't see/hear him till morning. This was beginning of March 2001. He found his way back, in a strange city (I just moved to MTL a couple of months before that)...

Don't give up...Keep looking!

Well, I just want to say Crystal has not come home.
you can see the date of this posting, No calls, no sitings.
People in the past have told me that they lost their dogs, for the life of me I could never understand how such a thing happens.
Every action in my days revolved around the dogs, I never opened the door without making sure the inside door was closed first.
The dogs had their own back yard with a six foot fence.
I just want to say I know this is my fault.
I take full responsibility for what happened....
I should have done better maintenance on the fence.
My little pampered princess Crystal was lost out in the cold because of me.
Naomi

Hi,
Is there anbody out there that might go to berger blanc regularly or frequently or even sometimes, that might be able to have a peek for crystal.
I hve been going, but it's a long trip.
Let me know thanks,
Just if there is someone who goes, I am not asking anyone to make a special trip.
Thank you again,
Naomi

Aw Naomi, I am so sorry for you and all the others with furbabies out there somewhere and we don't know where!!!

Please, try to remain positive...someone has to know something.

I don't live near Berger Blanc either or I would be happy to help

My greatest distress comes from wondering if Crystal feels that I abondoned her. If another family does have her, which is OK I guess, that she doesn't understand what happened.
If only some questions could be answered.
Always hanging in there & continually lying to the kids to assure them, that Crystal is happy wherever she is.

It's the not knowing that is the worst and I also suffered the following many years ago with a cat of mine.

We all say to keep the hope which is a good thing. One also must be realistic however and deal with the grief and disappointment of not knowing what happened.

My thoughts are with you and I so can understand how you feel. I have moved on now though I will always remember her.

I have never lost an animal for long, but I can understand what your thoughts would be,is she safe, does she look for us etc,etc...
I lost my Chico(cat)and we looked for him for 2 hours,I was near hysteria only to find him sitting panting on our front porch.
What a huge relief!
It would be very difficult to find closure, not knowing, but Iyour little girl is safe.
Hopefully one day someone will come forward and you'll know
