Is the cat just itchy?

My cat is doing something strage, and he is also doing it more often. He sitting on the carpet and pulling his behind across the floor with his front paws. Is he just itchy or is it something serious that he should go to the vet for?

Does your cat currently have diarrhea? This may be the cause. It itches them like @#*%! My cat left many skid marks when she had diarrhea. Now that it's cleared up - no more skid marks.
Sometimes it is just an itch.
If he does have diarrhea go see your vet!

Hi,

It could also be the opposite....constipation.

My cats have done this exact behaviour when a little piece of poop was stuck in their butt.

It should be an infrequent thing though.....if this happens regularly then there is a problem.
