Exclamation 3 year old lab falling down

Hi,

This is not about my pet (thankfully). I have a friend who has a young yellow lab. The dog got into beer (about 1 full beer - perhap 1 1/2) and is falling down and whining loudly. The dog has not vomitted but is peeing himself. I want her to take him to the vet - but she does not have the money to do so. My dog has never drank beer before...does this sound like a normal reaction to alcohol? I think that there is something seriously wrong with him. Suggestions...comments...anyone??? If it really was alcohol...wouldn't he vomit?

I found this article http://www.animalhealthcare.ca/conte...d=390&cat=dogs

I know you said she doesn't have the money but I would still go to the vet and worry about the bill after. It's dishonest etc... but it is in the dogs best intrest and it could be very dangerous. If its a vet she has been to several times they may do a payment plan and they can't take the treatment back. Also some vets will taylor a treatment plan if possible to what someone can afford.

I would definately go to the vet. that he will be ok.

The dog really should see the vet asap. Most vets have reasonable payment plans. Please convince them to bring the dog in and post back with an update.
This could be very serious....

Please tell your friend to get her dog to a vet right away. It could very well be alcohol poisoning which can result in death. Good luck and please post with an update.

I agree. To leave it suffering would be horrible and inhumane.
