What I am hoping is that you get this cat spayed. Do you know about the terrible overpopulation of cats?
In the meantime, please take your cat to the vet. |

Excessive bleeding during or before the delivery process is an emergency situation. Call and take your cat to the vet asap.

Sorry, but you have a 1 year old cat, who is pregnant for the second time. Why did she miscarry the first time? Did you ever bother to find out? Why are you letting this cat get pregnant?
Is she a registered purebred? If she is, why have you not found out what is wrong with her? Do you think people can diagnose your cat over the internet? Take her a to vet - it's the least you owe her. If she is not a registered purebred, why let her get pregnant? If you want kittens, there are untold numbers of them desperately needing homes. Why not be a part of the solution, instead of adding to the problem? There are millions of homeless cats and kittens dying out there, and people like you are not helping. I wish there was no need for cat rescues, but as long as people continue to let their cats breed, someone has to clean up the mess. Sorry if the truth is unpleasant to you, but since you are posting on a public message board, anyone may voice an opinion. Thank you. One unspayed female cat, her mate and all their offspings, producing 2 litters per year, with an average of 2.8 surviving kittens per litter can total: 12 cats after 1 year 67 cats after 2 years 376 cats after 3 years 2,107 cats after 4 years 11,801 cats after 5 years 66,088 cats after 6 years 370,092 cats after 7 years 2,072,514 cats after 8 years 11,606,077 cats after 9 years PLEASE, SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS |

to lucky rescue
Im not sure why your so damn persistent to tell me i need to get my cat fixed, first off its none of your bussness what i do with my pets, just so you know she will be fixed due to her problems, and to add to why she is having her problems, the vet said she may not be a mothering cat, we have taken her to the vet and each and every animal we have is well taken care of, when we feel as if we have all we can handle for pets we will stop addopting and buying animals, till then if your not going to answer a question that is regarding my animal that i have posted please stop e-mailing me and making me look as if i dont care about my animals..
my husband and i live out in the country and take great care of all of our animals, thay dont bother anyone and all are fixed beside one cat and our pigs.. so from now on keep your nose out of our bussness unless your going to help answer our question, and again i didnt ask anyone to tell me what to do with my cat i was asking if what was happoning was normal, and so you know, she had 2 babys and she's just fine.. jennie

You must be confused....I never emailed you.
And it IS my business, since I'm the one who gets called when irresponsible people want to dump cats and litters of kittens. The End. |

I don't usually jump in like this (I'm new here too), but I did want to say something. Hope you don't mind.
Jennie, Lucky Rescue is just trying to let you know that there is a lot of problem with overpopulation because of indiscriminate breeding. She (I hope she anyway, sorry if not) isn't accusing you, just trying to make you think about the situation. I'd like to ask something, are you wanting to have kittens because you want you or your kids to experience the miracle of seeing birth and such? If so, why not adopt a pregnant kitty in need of a home, and then have her spayed (along with the kittens being fixed when of age). That way you get the extra benefit of helping more cats, plus get the fun of having baby kittens and watching them grow. As far as the email, this board will automatically notify you when somebody who is registered answers your post. That's probably the email you received. (It confused me too, at first.) Lucky Rescue, I'm glad there are folks like you out there. If there were more, perhaps we wouldn't have the terrible overpopulation of cats and dogs we do now (I know we do here in the States, and I imagine Canada has them as well). I have 4 cats now (we did lose Isis, the one I posted about previously, to FIP), 3 of them rescues. Once we get some weight on them, and they are in shape, they will be spayed, for now they aren't going to get into trouble as they are strictly indoor cats, with three doors between them and the outside (four at night when they are locked in with us to sleep). Anyhow, I just wanted to let you, Jennie, know that it isn't like anybody is accusing you of being a terrible person, just trying to help you see how you can help. |

Thanks Wacky. It's hard to keep one's cool when seeing the things I see all the time. Cats thrown from cars, starving and freezing outside, litters being drowned, feral cats caught in snares - all the result of people who just don't take the responsibilty of properly caring for their pets.
Because people can't be bothered spaying and neutering, we are overwhelmed with unwanted cats at the moment and can only save a very small fraction of them. This is very depressing and yes, I do get somewhat disturbed reading about people allowing their cats to have litters for no reason. IF someone can guarantee all the kittens will be s/n, and go to wonderful and responsible life-time homes, then it's their business. But most people do not do this. Your suggestion about fostering a pregnant stray if someone really desires kittens is an excellent one, and I wish more people would do that. It's rewarding to be able to save a litter and see them go to good, screened homes. And I'll return the compliment and say it's nice to know there actually ARE people like you around - taking responsibility for your pets so that people like me do not have to! |

my last post..
im tiered of arguing with you over this, just because my cat has had kittens does not mean im one of the hundreds of thousand of people that dont take care of my animals, before we deside we were going to have kittens we made sure that all the little ones would have a home, my kids were very excited to see her have babys, she is now going to be fixed and that was the plan all along after having a litter of kittens..
so once again, my animals are taken care of and due to all the hell i have been through on this site i will no longer be cumming back, all i wanted was a question answered, i didnt want to be riticuled, and degraded because our family wanted to watch and learn from that experance.. jen

Jennie, I'm sorry that you couldn't read what I said and realize that I wasn't condemning you, because I also have shared in watching babies (of various critters) being born and raised them.
Lucky, you mentioned cats being thrown out of cars, that is exactly how we got our newest cat. My stepsons saw the people throw this black thing out of a moving car, went over to look, and lo and behold, we've added Alita to our household. I can't believe somebody could do this, as she is very sweet tempered, beautiful and sleek, and loves people. The only 'issue' we've had is that she wasn't using the litter box... and we discovered that the doesn't like a covered box. Easy solution, don't cover them! My only problem with fostering a litter is that I want to keep them all! Right now we are at 4 cats, 3 of them rescued. We also have a rescued turtle, a rescued iguana, and a rescued hamster, and in the past have had several rescued birds and other rodents as well. Pretty much every dog I have had has been a rescue save one that was a gift from a breeder. Well, time to feed and water before I leave for work. Have an awesome day. And thanks, it's pretty good to know that others appreciate the little I can do to help. |
