Eni,

I hope you find your kitty soon. Do you live in a house? If so, you can leave out tuna or salmon on your poarch. Have you contacted Toronto Animal Services or Toronto Humane Society. Put up posters in your area, put up posters in vet hospital, talk to the people on your street. If you leave in an apartment, you could ask your landlord,if it would be ok to set up a trap near the entrance. BUT if you do set a trap, you have to monitior every hour. Again tuna or salmon are the best choices to bait a trap.

We have put color posters everywhere in the neighbourhood after checking in every corner and all roads, we have talked to neighbours, posted ads online in several sites including that of toronto humane socitey... she is microchiped so we are hoping if she is brought in to a vet or any centre they will be able to scan her and they we will contact us. Baby used to go out for a couple of hours everyday... and everytime she came home through our low roof that leads to the small bedroom window... that window has been open everyday all the time since she went missing with the hope she will come home as usual. She is pretty fast and wouldn't let any strangers grab or hold her... we have gone out at night when its quiet to hear whether there are any cat cries coming from anywhere (I called her name and put my ear against other people's garages) but nothing...left food and water outside but racoons ate it. What else can we do? We love her so much and want her back so badly

Don't give up. I remember, while at work I got a call from dispatch about a confined stray cat. I arrive at the call, pick up the cat and bring it back to the shelter. Cat was chipped and when lost and found called the owner, she was in shock and emotional. Her cat had been missing for a year.

ACO22 is right. I was at the SPCA last week and a woman just found her cat after 2 months...

I wish you strength.

Could someone have taken her in? She is a very attractive cat. I have three just like her that I am fostering. Seeing as she is so striking it is possible someone may have decided they wanted her. Especially if someone has been trying to make friends with her for a while and finally got her.
Have you checked with any rescue groups that may be working your area? Possibly TCR. Maybe one of their trappers got her by mistake thinking she was a stray. Especially if they saw her on a regular basis. Even with a collar on.

Have you gone in person to the Humane Society and/or any other shelters to see if she was picked up? Not phoned, actually gone there? When you do ask to check the sick room and the feral room as well. Especially the feral room if you say she runs from strangers.
Have you gone out at night or early in the morning when it is quiet with a flashlight to shine into bushes, under houses, etc, to see if the light reflects of off her eyes anywhere? Have you taken a bag of her favourite treats with you and shaken it? Have all of your neighbours checked their garages and sheds to see if she possibly got closed in by mistake?
And, while you don't want to think of it, you need to also find out who picks up road kill and ask if she was possibly a victim. I know you don't want to think of it but it is possible. Are there dogs in your area she could have been attacked by, possibly badly hurt by? Coyotes? There are so many dangers out there for cats on the loose.
I am sending up an extra prayer tonight for yours and many many other lost kitties. Good luck.

we have done all of the above every single day morning and night... I havent been able to open every single garage in the neighbourhood though, but I have been going around calling her name and putting my ear on garage doors...I even opened someone's garage today because the door seemed lose (i thought she might have gone in from there) but nothing ... noone could have taken her as she would run back home the first second she got the opportunity of an open door, she is a very confident cat who is very attatched to us and trust us a great deal but not others because of that no stranger has ever been able to grab her even when they wanted to pet her ... She is a microchiped cat so if she was picked up by any of the animal services in any condition we would have heard from them ... I HOPE MY BABY IS OK AND THAT SHE WILL MAKE IT HOME ... she is not forgotten, we are looking for her and we will keep doing that !!
