Irish WolfHound Mix
Charlotte a female Irish WolfHound Mix, who's sweet and very gentle needs a new home. She lives with a cat and a little Jack Russell, she's very good with children. Due to a change in the family situation, the family no longer are able to keep sweet Charlotte.
Picture will be coming shortly.... |

A stupid question, why would anyone give up on her and not the other dog too.
Maybe they think she's too big,but anything with Irish Wolfhound in her would be big:sad:

I was wondering if I could more info on Charlotte. How big is she and how much does she weigh? I think she's adorable but need to also know if she sheds as my son has allergies.
Thanks Marlene Quote:

Hi Marlene,
Charlotte is a large dog, approx 75-85 pds and she sheds. If you are looking for a dog, why don't you come to the Nuns Island dog adoption day on September 16th, from 11:00-3:00 for the SPCA Monteregie. It will take place at the dogpark on O'reilley and Berlioz. Bring your son and maybe you will find the type of dog you are looking for. Chico, I don't understand either why they would rehome Charlotte and not the other animals. She's such a cutie, if I could, I would bring her home. |

My husband is allergic too; it is not the hair, per sey, that they are allergic to... there is no such thing as a non-allergenic dog... I suggest that going to the adoption day and seeing how he does with particular types of dogs is a great idea. When we got our dogs, we had my DH rub them all over and see if he had a reaction to them. Some breeds are worse than others for him for some reason. Good luck finding a dog for your family |

Quick update, Charlotte has people interested in her thanks to a local MTL group.
Even though Charlotte's owners had to give her up, it doesn't mean to say she wasn't loved. Sometimes life just throughs you some unexpected curb balls. Last edited by poodletalk; September 2nd, 2006 at 09:16 PM. |

Thank you for the info. I love her looks but she is definitely too big for us. I really don't want a dog over 50-60 lbs. I was hoping that the Irish wolhound in her wasn't too dominant. I won't need to go to the adoption day as I drove yesterday to Monteregie. They didn't have what I'm looking for but I left my name with Linda and I know she'll call me when she gets that type in.
