Cuddles is still doing great. She's finally leaving to rest outside the box in between feedings. She also asked to leave the playpen twice today to stretch and run around in the big room outside the bedroom for a few minutes but runs right back to the pen as soon as she hears a peep. She's up to almost half a can of puppy food every 4 hours now. She still won't eat unless I hand feed her while she's nursing but, it's my pleasure to do anything for her at this point .

You're as subtle as L4H, Chico .

Here are a few more that'll have to last you guys a couple of days. I try not to disturb them unless it's weigh-in time or when I have to move the two wee ones for extra feedings when their porky siblings are napping. Hercules weighed in at 200 grams this evening. One of his sisters, Suziecakes , is close behind at 180 grams. The two wee ones, Lil' 'Loudmouth' Laurie and Munchkin Murphy, are only 114 and 115 grams each. I'm such a dork with names but it's the only way I can remember who is who .

Cuddles really is wonderful . She's starting to ask to go right outside today. Only for a minute or two but it's nice to get her out in the fresh air.

We keep them separated at all times, L4H. Cuddles doesn't know them at all (and our guys are too active) so I don't want to stress her. We keep ours upstairs and they use the back yard. Cuddles has my son's bedroom/livingroom downstairs and has access to the entire basement when she wants her zoomies. When she wants outside, we use the front yard. I don't imagine we'll be introducing them.

Your pups must know that Cuddles and her pups are in the house though. Do they react at all? When I have fosters in my house, Jasper is always at the door wanting to play and Sweet Pea is at the door hissing

Great pictures LP! They look so tiny!

It's different to hear of their weights as grams instead of kilo's or pounds.

They sniffed like mad at the basement door when Cuddles first arrived. Lucky scratched at the door a few times but he's stopped since. Nukka and Penny aren't reacting at all; Nukka just looks at me with her pitiful puppy eyes every time I go downstairs with a plate of food in my hands .

Lucky's being a bit of a jerk with the girls but that's not really new...he can be bullyish sometimes even when we don't have fosters so we just keep a close eye on him and don't leave the three of them together unattended. Dh was out of town for a few days and I noticed Lucky was acting up more during that time so I just did a lot of distraction and management.

Because of where I used to work, I keep comparing them to slices of salami . "Oh look! Murphy went from 20 slices to 25 slices of salami" and "Suziecakes weighs 34 slices!" and "Hercules is gaining 4 slices of salami a day!" .

Hercules now weighs 61 slices of salami....

Cuddles and pups continue to do great. They're all growing so fast and Cuddles is up to 4 large cans of food per day . I can tell she's gaining weight as well as I can't easily feel her hip bones anymore . Hopefully by next week, I'll manage to get close-up photos of each of the pups.

Here's a pic of the her with the puppies in her pen. We use the bottom half of an extra large Cargo crate as a whelping box and it's worked out really well. There's a heating pad on one half of it so that's where the puppies tend to nest while Cuddles prefers to lay on the half without where it's cooler.

If the puppers keep gaining weight, you'll have to switch to ham instead of salami!

What a fantastic set up LP! Everyone looks so cozy in their little castle.

And Cuddles grooming/nursing her babies . Not much room for all 6 to nurse at the same time but Cuddles patiently waits til they've all eaten before moving away for a little break.

The last one with Cuddles is amazing...she is such a good mom.
It will be hard to part with them LP...the next few weeks are so interesting as they grow and become curious. You will soon get to help Cuddles with the feeding and she will be so grateful.
