Embracing winter . . . .
Abby and Keeper were out in Kananaskis Country on the weekend, climbing Prairie View trail.
Below, Keeper looks out upon Barrier Lake, where we had started out journey. We lunched in this spot, sheltered from wind behind a pine tree. Below, Abby, actually a little higher up after a steep climb than the picture above, oblivious to the implications of the sheer cliff behind her. The picture points out why this is called Prairie View . . . . if the angle turned 90 degrees right, then Keeper's view of the mountains would emerge. Abby listens to a haunting forest on a shadowy trail back to the lake Lots of room to roam along Barrier Lake Below, a day earlier, Keeper listens to the forbidding forest near her home. As usual - wonderful pics Rick!! It looks like those trails you were on were popular hiking trials? They look well trodden. Or is that all you guys? The pups look marvelous!

WOW! How tranquil those pictures look. Excellent photos of the scenery and of course we couldn't forget Keeper and Abby--they truly make the scenes
