Question Question about Sherpa pet carrier medium

Hello all,

I have purchased a sherpa pet carrier -- medium size -- to fly with my two cats from Canada to Germany next week. The Sherpa website said that the medium size is permitted for on-board travel although the height-measurements slightly (!) exceed the airline standards. Apparantly it is okay since the carrier can be squished down.

Did anybody ever have a negative experience with Sherpa? I'm also excited to hear positive ones.

Does the airline personnel actually measure or weigh the carriers? Or do they guesstimate?

I would appreciate any advice! As a first time traveller with my beloved boys, I've gotten pretty anxious.

Thank you!

I have a Sherpa carrier for my cat, although I've never used it for air travel. It is squishable so should be able to fit under the seat if it's an inch or so too high. I really like mine, it's easy (well, as easy as can be) to get my cat in and out of it with the top and front access. My kitty also thinks it's pretty cool cause he takes naps in it when I leave it out.

Not sure how precise the airlines are about measuring and weighing. Maybe you can call and ask?
