Diet dog food

Vet has recommended Z/D Diet for our lab due to his allergies, any suggestions of an alternative and also need a reputable online site in Canada to purchase it.

Eagle Pack

They have a wide variety of natural foods. And from the main page, if you select "here to buy Eagle Pack", at the bottom of the page there is a link for online orders. It gives you a list of Online Suppliers.

What kind of dog? Large breeds and small breeds have different food choices... Do you live so far away from anywhere that you have to order? There are no holistic dog food stores near you?
Depending on the type of allergy these dog food companies might have something for you:
Solid Gold (they ship, but they are american)
Wellness They are available in a lot of the better dog food stores.
Avoderm This company has foods that are meat free, if your dog is allergic to meat.

Their sweet potato and fish one looks ok too. Do you think the wellness fish and sweet potato might be better though- it has fish first, then potatoes- the DVP ones have potatoes first.

But it's not fish meal in the wellness. So maybe it's the same...

Wellness

When we went shopping for the food they store did not have the WEllness Fish and Potato so she went with the Natural Balance. The results have been amazing. The dogs coat was dry and full of dandruff. It had absolutely no shine to it.
