dry or wet food?
After my cat got diagnosed with FLUDT I read that dry food is really hard on the kidneys because of the water missing in the diet, causing urinary tract problems. Would it be healthier to feed wet food to our cats?

I can tell you about my cats...
They have been having only dry food for 10 years...and they are as healthy as can be. Their water is changed every day and they do drink enough. BUT MY CATS have never had urinary tract problems. A simple call to your vet should answer this question. Good luck Laroi |

Thanks for sharing you feline experience. I also have two others cats o dry food (females) and they love it (but not as much as wet food!). Since males tends to have the urinary tract problems, it might be safer to feed that one with wet food. I called my vet and he confirmed that wet was better, since dry food could be hard on the kidneys, especially for male cats.
What a dilema! How am I supposed to explain that to my 2 female cats though! That only guys get the tasty wet stuff! Elisabeth, Ottawa
