pom or shiba
Have you researched these breeds I am only asking because they are so very different. A Shiba is a high energy dog and a pom is a purse dog. Shibas like to have lots of exercise or like BC or JRT will be destrutive because they are bored. Then they become the dog that ends up in a shelter or rescue because "we just don't have enough time fo the dog" or some other reason. Please research the breeds you like to find one that fits your lifestyle. I am not saying this to be mean or rude but we all see so many dogs given up because people did not research the breed. Good luck with your choices

Shibas are great but definitely take more work than the average dog. Not so much the energy levels as the inability to "mature" like people expect dogs to..... Kinda like mom!!! Michelle |

shiba
Very funny Michelle I have only met a couple but they seem like a lot of work. Being the owner of an English Mastiff I don't have to deal with a dog who wants to play fetch for more than 3 or 4 tosses of the ball. Which works great for me.

Funniest description of a shiba I have ever read
It's harsh but mostly true, read it with a sense of humor, then again you have to have a sense of humor to own a shiba!!!!!

listing for Shiba Inu
I found this listing...
795814- Dog:Shiba Inu Toronto (Scarborough),ON 416-431-1548 Joanna Petersen joanna_petersen@yahoo.ca 10-24-2004 Name: Sheena Age:3 Sex:F Size:S I need to find a home for a 3 year old shiba inu, which I have had for 6 months. She can be aggressive and needs a home with no children and no other animals. She would probably best suit a single person. She needs lots of love and affection. She can be very aloof at first, but once adjusted is a very affectionate dog that will follow you around everywhere. If you are an understanding and patient person who might be interested in providing a loving and caring home for this dog, please contact me. Pictures available. |
