My family consists of me, my hubby, 2 dogs, 4 cats and NO human children - aren't I smart

Dogs:
Jersey - Border Collie/St. Bernard from the pound - best dog in the world
Tinkerbell - Doberman/German Shepherd from the pound -survived Parvo at 9 weeks (thus the name ) was supposed to be a terrier mix HAHAHAHAHA - pain in the butt, thinks she's a lap dog and hyper deluxe - got to love her

4 cats:
Puppy - solid black - 19 yrs old - named because she chewed up shoes as a kitten - old, but still happy
Tiger Lily - really cool long Calico -7ish - trapped her behind a pool hall - feral - took 6 weeks before I could even touch her - now she's the LOVE bomb.
Indy - white w/ black spots - 4 - from pound - He's fat, really fat (eats food left out for the skinny 20 yr old) and lovey - he's the DON
Dega - really cool short tortoise shell - 3 1/2 - (actually Indy's cat) - SPCA - a bit feral - still bites and scratches when we play - I'm always covered in scars - but she gets lovier every year

These are my babies...the loves of my life.

Momof6, when I read your post, it looked like this:

And because of the format, I really thought you had a third dog named HAHAHAHAHA (even though it says "2 dogs" right above it ). Poor doggy must be so confused!

Sounds like your furries are lucky to have you.

We started with one dog, and in 2 short years we are up to 3 dogs, the legal limit in my city. We have Thai who is a 2.5 year old shar pei, Ruger who is a 10 month old rotti/mastiff/pointer/setter mix, and our newest addition is Tonka who is a 6.5 month old beagle/bulldogge mix. They are the loves of our lives. We call them "Our 3 Sons". Couldnt imagine a day without them.

3 cats and sbsolutely indoors - the Siamese goes out more on a leash or in a stroller but the Sphynx hate the outdoors. Even if I had long haired cats tho, they would be indoor cats - they are too many dangers to let cats go outdoors. I was just talking to a friend in Ottawa who has a new kitten and was dismayed to see one of the neighbourhood cats running loose outside. She was ondering whether to call the SPCA re neglect but I suggested it was not a wise idea - I don't know what the SPCA is like in Ottawa and at least yhe kitty has a good home, except for the fact they let him outdoors. Granted, if they had adopted him from the SPCA, he would have to be an indoor cat but I wonder if they actually verify that sort of thing. Here anyway - not sure about Ottawa, lol

Forgot pt 2 of the Q, yes, it is absolutely worth it!!!! Why would it not be? <g>

How many pets

Lets see, Indy the petshop pup, Brodie(dog) the rescue, Shep (dog)another rescue...Kyla(dog) a wonderful rescue and then there is Tango(cat) rescued from a vet in NH. Unfortunately I lost my rescue Bella (cat)2 years ago...would I have more...DEFINATELY! I train with them regularly, I take no chances with my family they are #1.
All indoor, house doesn't smell the best, I wash floors daily, I invested in a good air cleaner...whoohoo we have gone to the dogs!

I have two Goldens - Bobby the boy and Amber the girl and one ManxX cat - it is definitely worth it to have more than one! All 3 are good friends and they keep each other company when I have to leave them - which isn't often... They are all indoor/outdoor animals - in when I'm away and at night and outside when I'm outside (for the most part that is)...

Hugs for Frenchy.

Two dogs and two cats. All indoors and I think there is an extra 2 animals sneaking around when I'm not here if the hair is any indication

I have three indoor cats. A 2 year old female Russian Blue named Gracie, a one year old 18lbs male cat (whos still growing) named Turk and our newest addition is little Finn who is only 7 weeks old. And we'll be adding a Newf to the family in June. All are totally worth it!

We have 6 kitties and lots of fishies... mainly to entertain the kitties...
Great pics people... is that whip cream Zak is into? My guy Fagan looooves yogurt, he even eats the lemon...makes the crinkly 'sour' nose too, too cute.
Our house is even stevens (when hubby is home)... we have 3 girls, Windy, Smoke and Asker and 3 boys Buddy Fagan and Palomine. No dogs yet but its not for hubby's lack of trying. I say house is full...for now.

3 indoor cats, 1 indoor/outdoor cat. No dogs at the moment, just lost our beloved Yogi in February. 2 puppies on the way, we get Baxter the end of April and Bentley the beginning of July, so we'll have 2 dogs. Also have a cockatiel, a pond with 9 koi and a 100 gallon fish tank with 7 fancy goldies.

At present time we have one cat named Dulcinea and varying numbers of fish.
Dulcinea is an indoor cat but has deck privileges; she enjoys watching the birds and squirrels that frequent our back yard feeders.

As always we have too many cats! We work with a rescue to spay or neuter and rehome cats. Right now we've got about 20 in the house and that is not including 3 litters of kittens. 7 of them are our own pet housecats...the others will all move out eventually.. and then more will come in. The house is a zoo.

We also have 3 dogs, 2 horses, cattle, chickens, and an assortment of other birds. Life is crazy at home. Right now we have 3 or 4 yowling unspayed females who are in heat. I can't wait until their spay appointments next week!

Three dogs. Emmy (Minpin).... Abby (Dane)...and Ruben (Bullmastiff). All live inside, but the big dogs are outside alot more than the little girl. All dogs are altered. No cats, husband is not a cat-guy, so won't even go there... Two bunnies a female and a neutered male (Coco and Ginger)...outside. Two tanks of fish and two outside horses (geldings). (As apposed to "inside" horses) None of my fish are spayed or neutered though.

At one time we had four females but we lost Tori and Jazz in 2005. Now we have added two boys.

The more the merrier, our house is in total harmany.

We have Willie the gerbil to keep the cats occupied. Billie

I have two rescued indoor cat's and a rottie dog, Trouble is a beautiful black siamese/cross that my hubby rescued from Tim Horton's parking lot during an ice storm, and Ty-D-Bowl, is a very very large cat that really remind's me of a raccoon more than a cat, he's big, gorgeous, klutzy, and is constantly looking for something else to eat (hence the name), who we rescued from a girl we knew cause he was eating her out of house and home....and of course now he is eating "us" out of house and home, neither of them go outside at all, and I love them both dearly.

I also have a rottie dog, Stinker, she is our "guard" dog, or at least that's what my hubby got her for originally, until I came on the scene and made a family pet out of her....I get so frustrated with the stereotypes for Rotties, big tough, mean, yeah right!!! Mine is afraid of the dark, hate's wind, is scared of rain, doesn't like the snow, is terrified of thunder and lightning, etc etc....in fact both my cat's are tougher than my rottie dog! She's thinks that she's a 100lb lap dog
