Thumbs up Good news for the HS that I volunteer for

I have wanting to let you know this since I heard on Monday, but was told I had to wait until the official press release I hate keeping secrets, makes me feel like I am going to burst

The Gananoque Humane Society got 300K grant to build a new facility. If you could see what they are currently housed in, you would cry.

So when will they start building? Do they have the plans laid out, yet?

That's great! My county shelter just got a huge expansion as well They are going to atleast double the size of our shelter which is great.

I hope it works out for your shelter The government is really os under-appreciative towards animal shelters it's a shame

Thanks guys, if there is a humane society that deserves this it is them. They consist of volunteers so all the donations go to the animals and their health care. Some volunteers have full time jobs and still find time to clean cages on the weekends and foster.

Great news Love4Himies. I wish we had the money to rebuild the shelter that I work for. The shelter moved into the building that we are now in, in the 1950's.
